The business office of Initiative Qualitätsmedizin e.V. supports the work of the IQM committees in accordance with the goals and strategies defined by the members. It is organised into units and provides input regarding both content and organisation. The team at the business office provides assistance and information for all membership questions
The Internal Affairs unit serves the IQM members as well as the board of directors and the scientific board. The Internal Affairs unit also supports and guides improvements to IQM methodology and associated pilot projects.
The Indicators unit is overseen by the management and supports the corresponding expert committee and steering group in cooperation with the head of the Indicators expert committee. This unit also assists in improving the quality indicators and works closely with our technical partner 3M.
The Peer Review unit supports the Peer Review expert committee and the Peer Review steering group as well as the IQM Peers expert group, in which the representatives from the member hospitals participate and decide on all topics relating to peer reviews. This unit is responsible for all issues and questions concerning IQM peer reviews, peer responsibilities and professional development to become an IQM peer.
The Transparency unit supervises the Transparency expert committee and steering group, in which the representatives of IQM members discuss and decide on all topics relating to internal and external communication. This unit also deals with the preparation and execution of the annual publication of results, media and public relations work and event management.
